This bowl is made from salvaged wood from the Coffs Coast. Very unusual to find Red Gum in Coffs harbour, as it is not usually found on the Coast. A turned rectangular shape making it as unusual as where the timber originates. The carved and burnt pattern compliments the gorgeous colour of the Red Gum. Handcrafted by David Barden, Wood We Create.
This bowl is made from Turpentine that was salvaged from Coffs Harbour. It is turned ‘green’, which when wood has not dried out. This bowl was completed with 2 weeks of the tree being felled. If you look closely at the shape you will notice that the form is warped. This happens as a direct result of the timber shrinking as it dries out, creating a wonderful shape in the finished bowl.
