This bowl is ‘green’ turned from salvaged Pecan from the Coffs Coast. The natural wavy rim is created when the wood shrinks when drying out. It is completed within 2 weeks of the tree being felled. No, two bowls are the same, giving you a truly unique gift for yourself or that special person you have bought it for. Completed in a hand rubbed oil finish to protect for generations. The bowl was turned ‘green’ and if you look closely you will see the warped edge that is produced as the timber shrinks in the drying process. Vessel – Pecan with carved and burnt pattern No.7
This Pecan Vessel is made from locally sourced, salvaged timber from the Coffs Harbour area. The vessel has areas around the outside that have been carved to create a relief area that is then burnt black to produce a bold contrast between the two surfaces. The piece is then completed with a hand rubbed oil finish that protects and beautifies the texture and colour of the timber. Handcrafted by David Barden.
